Family Saturdays with a theatre show

Discover a story full of adventure, courage and mutual support at Port Rumia!

Join us for the next event in the ‘Family Saturdays with Theatre’ series at the Auchan Shopping Centre in Port Rumia. This is a brilliant opportunity to experience an extraordinary theatrical adventure with your children and meet characters who will prove that teamwork and courage are incredibly powerful.

On Saturday 12 September at 12.30 pm and 2.30 pm, we’ll be staging the play ‘The Dragon from the Vistula’. The play tells the story of two medieval merchants – Wierzba and Kasztan – who, as well as weaving wicker baskets, also ‘weave’ the fascinating stories and legends they have heard during their travels.

Using simple set design and wooden marionettes, our characters will introduce the audience to “The Legend of Sobótka in Płock”. During the performance, the actors interact directly with the audience.

‘The Dragon from the Vistula’ combines live actors with theatrical puppets. The set is made of wood and wicker, which emphasises the story’s rustic and playful atmosphere.

We have organised a competition with prizes for the youngest children. For attending each performance, children will receive a stamp on a special participant’s card. Once they’ve collected 8 stamps, they’ll be able to claim a prize – a gift card for Port Rumia shops worth 100 zlotys.
